Happy weekend, and I hope everyone is continuing to hang in there!
On the points & travel front, this week World of Hyatt announced a great new promotion for redeeming points, the Qatari royal family tried to sell a 747-8, Royal Air Maroc revealed plans to get rid of nearly half of its 787 fleet, Americans chartered a jet to the EU and got rejected, and more.
With that out of the way, here’s a recap of this week on the blog:

Road Tripping Through The Southwest Of The US
In mid-June, Ford and I did a four day road trip through Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado (I recognize that technically not all of those states are the “southwest,” but I feel comfortable enough with the general theme).
In this post I wanted to talk a bit more about our road trip, and then in the next three installments I’ll be reviewing the hotels we stayed at.
4 Benefits That Make Hilton Aspire Card Worth It
As I often say, I find hotel credit cards to be quite underrated. More so than just about any other cards, hotel credit cards can be worth holding onto just for the benefits they offer.
For example, I’ve written about how the World of Hyatt Credit Card (review) is great — the card has a $95 annual fee, and I think the Category 1-4 free night certificate offered by the card more than justifies the annual fee in and of itself.
But there’s one even more premium hotel credit card that I find to be at least as valuable. I’ve had this card for a couple of years now, and have consistently gotten outsized value from it. Specifically, I’m talking about the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card.
The information and associated card details on this page for the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card has been collected independently by OMAAT and has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Ben, please write a post about United’s switch and bait policy. American Airlines is getting all the attention for not blocking middle seats during this pandemic. United is just as bad. We bought tickets as gold members on United under the policy that they would be socially distancing in board. Recently, they changed their policy and said there is nothing they can do about it. I can personally attest to the horrendous customer service and misinformation I have received from their customer service agents. I hope you consider talking about this issue.
