World of Hyatt has just launched and opened registration for its newest global promotion, offering 3,000 bonus points after every three nights stayed, for a total of up to 36,000 bonus points. This promotion is better than nothing, and I suppose it’s largely better than what the competition is offering. Still, I don’t think it’ll sway too many stay decisions.
World of Hyatt fall 2026 promotion details
Registration is open for World of Hyatt’s newest global promotion — it doesn’t have a name, and it seems like Hyatt has dropped its “Bonus Journeys” branding for promotions. This is valid for stays between September 29 and December 15, 2026, and offers up to 36,000 bonus points:
- Earn 3,000 bonus points after every three eligible nights stayed at any property globally
- You start being rewarded with your first stay, and can earn up to 36,000 bonus points
There are some details to be aware of, as you’d expect:
- Registration is required between September 29 and December 15, 2026, and prior to your first eligible stay
- Any stay booked directly with Hyatt qualifies toward the promotion, including stays booked prior to the start of the promotion, as well as award stays; this includes Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, the Venetian Resort, and Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt
- Points will post within two to three weeks of completing an eligible stays
- Nights stayed don’t have to be consecutive, so three eligible nights could include one stay of three nights, three stays of one night, etc.
- Only one room can qualify toward this promotion; so while you can earn points for multiple rooms, you would only earn the bonus based on one room
Crunching the numbers on World of Hyatt’s promotion
How lucrative is World of Hyatt’s new global promotion? For context, I value World of Hyatt points at ~1.5 cents each. Just to recap World of Hyatt’s regular points earning rates:
- World of Hyatt members ordinarily earn 5x base points per dollar spent at Hyatt properties
- Elite members receive further bonuses — Discoverists earn an extra 0.5x points per dollar spent, Explorists earn an extra 1.0x points per dollar spent, and Globalists earn an extra 1.5x points per dollar spent
- If you pay with a co-brand Hyatt credit card you earn an extra 4x points per dollar spent
So ordinarily, a World of Hyatt Globalist member paying with a co-branded credit card could be earning up to 10.5x points per dollar spent.
With this promotion, you’d earn an incremental 1,000 bonus points per night (which I value at $15), in the right increments, for up to 36 nights. Honestly, that’s not very exciting, but I’d still consider it to be a better promotion than we’re seeing from Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy:
- Hilton Honors is offering 1,000 bonus points on all stays, and 3,000 bonus points on stays at luxury, lifestyle, resort, or all-inclusive hotels (I value Hilton points about one third as much as I value Hyatt points)
- Marriott Bonvoy is offering 1,500 bonus points on stays of two or more nights, and 4,500 bonus points on stays at resorts (I value Marriott points about half as much as I value Hyatt points)
Other ways to earn World of Hyatt points
If you’re looking to earn more World of Hyatt points, the good news is that Hyatt points are pretty easy to come by. In addition to being able to earn World of Hyatt points with the co-branded cards, you can also transfer over points from Chase Ultimate Rewards. This is one of my favorite uses of Chase points, though with the recent Sapphire Preferred refresh, those points no longer consistently transfer at a 1:1 ratio. Furthermore, Bilt Rewards points can also be moved to World of Hyatt, and that’s at least consistently at a 1:1 ratio.
On top of that, World of Hyatt frequently sells points at a discount. Also keep in mind other ongoing promotions offered by World of Hyatt:
- You can earn 500 bonus points when you stay at a new Hyatt hotel
- You can earn a free Category 1-4 free night when you stay at new Hyatt brands with the Brand Explorer promotion
- You can maximize value with Hyatt stays by booking through the Hyatt Privé program
Bottom line
World of Hyatt has just launched a global promotion for the fall of 2026. For stays between September 29 and December 15, 2026, members can earn 3,000 bonus points for every three nights stayed, for a total of up to 36,000 bonus points.
This is essentially an opportunity to earn an incremental 1,000 bonus points per night, but only in the right increments. While it’s hard to get too excited about this promotion, it is significantly better than what’s being offered by Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy, so the program at least deserves credit for that.

Question, have a 7 night stay with checkout on Dec. 16. Would I get 2x the bonus promo for the nights through the 15th, or out of luck since I won't check out until the day after the promo ends?
@ James22 -- You should be good! Here's the relevant part of the terms:
"If a stay has Eligible Nights during the Promotion Period but is not completed during the Promotion Period, the stay must be completed by June 15, 2027, in order to have those Eligible Nights on that stay that were completed after registration and during the Promotion Period count for this promotion."
So that allows for quite a long stay!

I wonder if it's stackable. For instance, I've already registered "5K for 5 nights at Hyatt House", would I be receiving 5K plus 3K upon completion of 5 nights at Hyatt House?

From the FAQs:
"10. Is this offer combinable with other offers?
Yes, this offer can be combined with other offers unless specified otherwise in the terms and conditions of those offers."
For those of us with free night certificates, it seems Hyatt is no longer allowing us to trade in expired certificates for 10,000 to 20,000 points anymore (cat 1-4 or 1-7). They will give a one time credit of 5000 points, and otherwise if your free night certificate expires, you are out of luck. To clarify I’m referring to free nights earned through Hyatt stays, not through credit cards.
Hyatt points are not worth 1.5 cents. Ben, please update your valuation. Might male a good blog post.
lol, the timing of this is beyond annoying.
I have an upcoming stay in July for 4 nights. I also had a stay that ended yesterday (June 21-22). If yesterday's stay had been one day later, I would qualify for this promo already.

I have a couple of stays coming up at PH properties. I wonder if stays booked through an agent via Privé count as "booked through Hyatt," not that it much matters - 2,000 points will yield a ~30-minute stay at the PH Tokyo.
You literally can't get anything for 8000 Hyatt points anymore. This is a joke compared to the old days when 75,000 in a summer promo gave you 3-4 nights at the Park Hyatt

I was a Globalist when it was worth it and they gave 75,000 points for their summer promos. Not 8000 which after all the devaluations are worth less than 4000 in old money.
Totally worthless and I now just book OTAs without any brand allegiance.

They need to fix the supply side of points earnings with stays. These devaluations make points earning via stays very uncompetitive. If they do further push globalist benefits into milestone rewards it'll really make free agency look great next year.
I guess this utterly uninspiring promo means that they haven't yet felt any financial backlash from their recent series of devals. In due time. The thing is, for a smaller chain like Hyatt, once they do want to course correct, it won't be as easy to win loyalists back.
