Four Seasons has a lot of iconic hotels around the world, including many incredible properties in Europe. One of the most popular is the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat (formally known as the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat), located in the south of France.
In this post I wanted to cover the basics of the property, and also share the best ways to maximize value for stays at the resort (which is to take advantage of promotions and book through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner agent).
In this post:
Four Seasons Cap Ferrat basics
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat is one of the most famous hotels in the French Riviera — it’s located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The hotel is one of the few hotels in France to have the “Palace” distinction, indicating that it has some of the best service in the country.
The Four Seasons has some incredible restaurants, a pool, a spa, a fitness center, and much more. This hotel gives you the best of both worlds — you get a famous and historic hotel that’s also managed by Four Seasons, giving you the consistency and legendary service you can rely on from the brand.
To get to the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat you’ll want to fly into Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (NCE), and from there it’s a 40 minute drive to the hotel.
Four Seasons Cap Ferrat room types
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat has a total of 80 accommodations, including rooms, suites, and a villa. I figured I’d go through some of those categories to give you a sense of what to expect.
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat has a total of 49 guest rooms, spread across three categories:
- The Superior Pinewood Room is 290-365 square feet and has pine grove and garden views
- The Deluxe Terrace Room is 449 square feet and has pine grove and garden views
- The Palace Sea-View Room is 322-409 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea views
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat has a total of 30 suites, spread across seven categories:
- The Deluxe Terrace Pinewood-View Suite is 538-807 square feet and has pine grove and garden views
- The Deluxe Terrace Sea-View Suite is 1,076 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea views
- The Four Seasons Pinewood Suite is 807 square feet and has pine grove and garden views
- The Four Seasons Pool Suite is 883 square feet and has pine grove views
- The Four Seasons Sea-View Suite is 592-603 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea views
- The Rooftop Suite is 527 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea views
- The Palace Sea-View Suite is 753-1,076 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea views
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat has one villa (which is part of the Four Seasons Private Retreats collection):
- The Villa Rose-Pierre is 5,920 square feet and has Mediterranean Sea and private garden views
Four Seasons Cap Ferrat promotions
The Four Seasons Cap Ferrat has promotions that guests can take advantage of when booking, though at the moment they’re quite limited:
- Through November 18, 2024, receive up to 15% off when booking at least two nights
Note that none of these offers are combinable, so you have to choose which of these offers you’d like to take advantage of. Furthermore, the rates you’ll see on Four Seasons’ website already reflect any eligible discounts.
Book with Four Seasons Preferred Partner
If you are going to book the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat, you should book through a Travel Advisor who is affiliated with Four Seasons Preferred Partner. This is a program available to select Travel Advisors, where they can add value for your stays without it costing you anything extra.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner offers extra perks like daily breakfast, room upgrades, resort credits, and more, all at no additional cost to the guest. Four Seasons Preferred Partner can be combined with any of the above promotions, including the fourth night free offer.
Just to give an example, the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat charges a minimum of an extra 95 EUR per night for a rate that includes breakfast, though through Preferred Partner you can get that at no extra cost (and you have your choice of dining in the restaurant or in your room).
If you’re booking Four Seasons and you’re not doing so through a Preferred Partner agent then you’re doing it wrong.
If you’d like to make a booking at the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat to get the best deal, and/or have a question about Preferred Partner, you can reach out to Ford at [email protected]. Travel Advisors may even be able to help if you already have existing bookings.
Bottom line
The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is one of the most famous hotels in the French Riviera, and it’s managed by Four Seasons. While it won’t be cheap, it’s a property that consistently sells out in summer, given how well known the hotel is.
Hopefully the above gives a good overview of the property. If you are going to book the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat, make sure you’re at least maximizing value by booking through a Preferred Partner agent, who can help you take advantage of any promotions, and add even further perks.
