Don’t let the Athens location fool you — this hotel is a destination in and of itself, and not just a luxury hotel if you’re looking to sightsee.

If you’re considering a trip to Greece and are looking for the best luxury hotels, the Four Seasons Athens Astir Palace should be on your list. In this post I wanted to cover some of the basics of this hotel, and then talk about how you should book this property to get the best value.

Basics of the Four Seasons Athens

The 303-room Four Seasons Athens Astir Palace opened in 2019, and is one of Greece’s best new luxury resorts. It’s located in the Athens Riviera, roughly 30 minutes from the city of Athens, and roughly the same distance from Athens International Airport.

While this hotel is a great base from which to explore Athens while staying in luxury, you can have an amazing time without leaving the resort. The Four Seasons Athens Astir Palace is on a 74 acre property, and has over half a dozen restaurants, three private beaches, multiple pools, a spa and fitness center, and so much more.

This is the perfect complement to a visit to the Greek Isles, and thanks to the proximity of the Four Seasons to the airport, it could also be a great stopover hotel for a few days.

Bottom line

The Four Seasons Athens Astir Palace is a spectacular property. Don’t view this as a city hotel for exploring Athens, but rather view it as a destination in and of itself. This hotel has endless things to do, amazing dining, and some amazing people watching.
