In the last installment I reviewed the SAS Lounge Copenhagen. Since the lounge was very crowded and we had time to spare, we decided to also check out the Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen (via Priority Pass), which we preferred by a long shot.

Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen location
The Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen is located in Terminal 3, in the non-Schengen area. This means you have to clear passport control to access the lounge, and therefore it’s not for those traveling on most short haul flights within Europe.
Once you’ve cleared immigration, the Eventyr Lounge is located near gate C26, on the right side of the terminal.
The lounge is one level above the main concourse, so you can either take the stairs or an elevator up a level.
Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen hours & entry requirements
The Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen is open daily from 5:30AM until 8PM, covering a vast majority of departures. The lounge is open to Priority Pass members, so it’s pretty widely accessible, especially given all the great credit cards that offer a Priority Pass membership.
On top of that, this is used as the premium lounge for most non-Star Alliance airlines departing from the non-Schengen part of Copenhagen Airport. Admittedly that’s a pretty limited number of carriers, but includes British Airways, Emirates, Middle East Airlines, and Qatar Airways.
Since we were flying with SAS, we accessed the lounge via Priority Pass.
Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen seating & layout
The Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen is roughly 8,000 square feet, and is circular in shape. The lounge is essentially one huge room, with an incredible amount of natural light, and unbeatable views of the gate area and apron. The lounge had a variety of seating options, including chairs, couches, and dining tables. I’ll let the pictures speak mostly for themselves.
One corner of the lounge had a Carlsberg-sponsored “News Corner,” with a selection of international news.
But who needs TVs when you have the kinds of views that this lounge offers?!
The best part of the lounge was how quiet it was. When we arrived there were two other people there. Once they left, we had the lounge to ourselves for nearly an hour. What a contrast to the SAS Lounge! I imagine the lounge gets much busier prior to Emirates and Qatar Airways departures.
I do have to say, the lounge was almost eerily quiet, and could benefit from some sort of background music, or something. You could hear a pin drop in this lounge.
Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen food & drinks
The Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen had a modest selection of food & drinks.
The food selection consisted of pastries, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cereal, eggs, sausage, and more. It wasn’t an amazing selection, but I’d say it was roughly on par with what was being offered in the SAS Lounge.
To drink there was self-serve liquor, a coffee machine, wine, beer, water, and more.
Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen bathrooms & showers
The Eventyr Lounge has bathrooms in the back corner of the lounge. The bathrooms were clean, but I guess that’s not surprising, given how empty the lounge was.
The lounge also had a couple of shower rooms. While the shower rooms as such didn’t cost anything extra to use, you had to pay 50DKK (~$7) for amenities, like a towel and toiletries.
Bottom line
The Eventyr Lounge Copenhagen has nice decor, incredible views, and was also quiet during our visit. It was a nice change of pace from the SAS Lounge, which was overcrowded. Given the current state of the SAS Lounge, I’d return to the Eventyr Lounge in a heartbeat, even though the food & beverage selection isn’t that great.
If you’ve visited the Eventyr Lounge, what was your experience like?
If ever in Copenhagen, I now know which lounge to visit.
I assume if we are traveling through from the states (ORD-CPH-MXP) we would not have access to this lounge after clearing immigration? Was hoping to catch a shower, and the other two lounges we have access to via our Amex don't appear to have them. If anyone knows the answer to this, I would certainly appreciate it.
You will have to clear customs on arriving, then go back through it to the non-schengen area and then clear customs again to board your MXP-flight. But it is allowed, just say you are going to the lounge.
So if you don't pay the fee you are expected to have brought your own towel to the shower room? Amenities I could see, but I would hardly call a towel in a shower room optional.
I visited this lounge the day it was open. It was a breath of fresh air compared with the SAS one. The staff were super duper friendly. I remember there used to be more food.

Wouldn't it be ranked slightly higher since you get hot options (besides oatmeal) here but not in the SAS lounge?
What a timely article! I will be transiting through Copenhagen this coming Saturday on our way to Stockholm. This will be the Lounge of choice for us.
Stockholm is a Schengen destination, and this lounge is in the non-schengen section. Depending on where you are transiting from, it could be time consuming to use this lounge.
If you are in transit from another Schengen destination, you'd need to clear passport control twice to get there.
I was in this lounge in early February of 2020. It was quiet and really nice. There were like 3 people in it the entire three hours I was In there. There was a China Air plane near the lounge and when I left the lounge, there were people boarding or departing that plane (don’t remember) and all had masks on. Apparently there was some type of virus ramping up at that time.
Had been there pre-COVID, and agree about the setting, it’s excellent.
Very sweet, tidy and elegant ... and very quiet ... It has a variety of food and most importantly, it is very clean

Have been there many times when flying BA to/from London. I think the food & beverage options are fine, especially with the beer & wine "on tap", which - refilling one's current glass - saves loads of glasses lying about. And on that note, they always do a fantastic job of clearing dirty plates & glasses, even when returning to the buffet for seconds, thirds, etc. They also track the BA flights' actual boarding times...

Yes, they charge for the toiletries, but will say that the showers are a service that few use, and those that do usually only need a towel (hotel toiletries packed in hand luggage). The staff are always super friendly. Charging points/plugs everywhere, so no need to search. Plenty of seats and varying types of them - have never needed to search or wait for one. The staff are always friendly. And, the 360' views are indeed something few lounges offer.
