Lucky Charms Ireland: Aer Lingus Gold Circle Lounge Boston & Air France Business Class Lounge Boston

We got to Logan Airport at around 4:30PM for our 6:25PM departure, and headed straight for Aer Lingus check-in, which is located at the far end of the terminal.

There was a Gold Circle/business class line where there was no queue, so we were immediately helped by a friendly agent that processed our check-in within two minutes and invited us to use the Aer Lingus Gold Circle lounge.

Aer Lingus check-in

The Aer Lingus lounge is located near gate E8, on the opposite side of the terminal from which the Aer Lingus flight leaves. It’s on the lower level, and there’s quite a walk down a long corridor before you reach it.

The highlight of my entire Aer Lingus experience had to be the agent working the Aer Lingus lounge, who was one of those nice people that just can’t help but make you smile. She was a puffy haired blonde lady, probably in her upper-60s, and she smiled nonstop. She was just so polite and couldn’t help but put a smile on my face. If you fly Aer Lingus out of Boston be sure to say hi to her.

Unfortunately she was the only nice thing about the lounge, which otherwise reminded me of a hospital waiting room. There was no natural light, the color scheme was painful to look at, and I couldn’t even get the Wi-Fi to work.

There were also some finger sandwiches in the fridge, though they looked pretty stale to me.

I quickly flipped through my Priority Pass booklet and realized that we also had access to the Air France lounge in the same terminal through my Priority Pass™ membership, so we decided to check that out instead. As luck would have it, the Air France lounge is located right across from the Aer Lingus gate.

Our plane to Dublin

We took the elevator down a level to the “Air France Graf” lounge. Not sure what “Graf” means, though I suspect it was some sort of a contract lounge.

The guy at the entrance couldn’t have been much ruder and greeted us with a “what do you want?”

Fortunately other than the rude guy at the entrance, the lounge was awesome — it had plenty of seating, the Wi-Fi was fast, and there was actually a decent food selection.

At around 5:45PM we headed over to our gate for boarding, happy to have checked out the Air France lounge. If you have a Priority Pass™ membership I highly recommend skipping the Aer Lingus lounge and just visiting the Air France lounge when flying Aer Lingus out of Boston.

This by far was the most help tip I could find about the entire terminal and gate for Boston and Aer Lingus' gate. I phoned Logan and the guy said he could not tell me what gate Aer Lingus uses for security reasons. I said look at DIA's website as in Denver we tell travelers what airline flies out of which gates on all three concourses. Any advice for a mate traveling on his first time Aer Lingus flight? Going to Dublin for my Master's. Thanks again!!!! Great informative post!

As a Logan based flyer I do have to say the overall lounge scene in Terminal E leaves much to be desired, but I think we have one of the fastest, mst efficient and painless check-in and security setups of any international terminal in the country.
