Priority Pass is the world’s largest network of independent airport lounges, with over 1,200 locations around the world. The number of Priority Pass members has increased greatly the past couple of years, ever since the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card was introduced, since now there are quite a few credit cards with lounge access.

Priority Pass has gotten creative when it comes to the “lounges” they’ve added to their network. For terminals in which they struggle to reach a deal with a traditional lounge, Priority Pass has in some cases come to agreements with restaurants.

The idea is that Priority Pass typically pays a lounge a fixed amount for each guest who enters, so instead Priority Pass pays restaurants a fixed amount, in exchange for giving their members a dollar credit that they can spend towards food and drinks. At this point Priority Pass has about two dozen restaurant locations at US airports, including the following:

Jerry Remy’s BOS Priority Pass details

This August, Priority Pass added Jerry Remy’s at Boston Logan Terminal C to their network. Priority Pass members receive $28 of food and drinks per guest, and Priority Pass members can bring in at most one guest each.

We had quite a long layover in Boston, as we were arriving at around 3PM and I was departing at around 9PM. While we weren’t really hungry, we had lots of time to kill, so figured we’d check out this Priority Pass restaurant.

Jerry Remy’s is only open to Priority Pass members from 2PM until 8PM, so while the restaurant has longer hours, Priority Pass members won’t receive credits outside of those hours.

As a reminder, here are some of the popular credit cards that come with a Priority Pass membership:

Jerry Remy’s BOS review

After landing on Lufthansa we headed to Terminal C, since my dad and I were both flying JetBlue (though on separate flights). With time to kill, we headed towards Jerry Remy’s.

The restaurant is located landside (before security) on the departures level across from the Alaska Airlines check-in counter. For reference, airlines departing from Terminal C include Aer Lingus, Alaska, Cape Air, JetBlue, Sun Country, and TAP Air Portugal. However, anyone flying out of the airport could visit this restaurant, given that it’s landside. Furthermore, Terminals C & E are connected airside.

Boston Logan Terminal C check-in

The restaurant was easy to find. When facing the security checkpoint, Jerry Remy’s was to the left, and had a neon green exterior, and was located right above the escalator.

The restaurant even has a Priority Pass sticker posted by the entrance.

The restaurant feels like a sports bar. Near the entrance is a bar with some high-top seating, and then further into the space are more traditional dining tables, including some booths. We got there before 4PM, and it was busy, but there were still some empty seats.

Upon being seated I informed the server we were Priority Pass members, and she said that wasn’t a problem, and to just give the card at the end. The menu read as follows:

Having just gotten off a first class flight with very little movement the entire day, I wasn’t very hungry. However, I figured I should order something, so that I could review the place.

My dad ordered a glass of red wine, while I had a Diet Coke.

To eat we ordered the tuna burger sliders, described as three yellowfin tuna burgers seasons and topped with seaweed salad and sriracha aioli. These were pretty decent, and a good portion.

I figured we might as well order something else for review purposes, though hate wasting meat, so I ordered the grilled veggie and hummus platter described as offering fresh veggies with a kalamata olive roasted red pepper and artichoke salad and hummus, with grilled flat bread.

While the tuna sliders were pretty good, the hummus platter was… not.

Both of the dishes were brought out within 10 minutes, and I have to say our server was exceptionally friendly. At the conclusion of the meal she presented us with the bill, and she explained that gratuity was not included. I appreciated that she explicitly mentioned that, since it seems to be a big issue with Priority Pass, since people don’t realize they should tip (in the sense that paying with Priority Pass is just another form of payment at this restaurant).

I gave her my Priority Pass card and a cash tip, which she thanked me for profusely, and we didn’t have to pay anything additional.

Jerry Remy’s Boston Logan Airport bottom line

I love the Priority Pass restaurant concept. I was impressed by the friendliness of everyone working at Jerry Remy’s, in great contrast to Bobby Van’s at JFK. If you have time to spare you might as well stop here for a drink or snack.

Logan Terminal C does have a Priority Pass lounge (called “The Lounge”), which I visited later on, though it was so crowded that I left right away. At that point I just grabbed a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee and sat in an empty gate area, which was much nicer than the lounge.

So if you’re passing through Terminal C, this restaurant is a great option.

I visited here by myself a couple weeks back, sat at the bar and the visit was very smooth and friendly using PriorityPass at that time. My total came to about $30 and I left $10 to cover overage and tip.
I've since checked my PriorityPass account and I was charged for my visit and a guest visit. I've emailed PriorityPass but don't have high expectations about getting that visitor visit back. My PriorityPass...

"The restaurant feels like a sports bar", wait, what Jerry Remy's is sports themed?? Who would have thunk.

I thought you gave up soft drinks

I think those grilled vegetables, cup of hummus and grilled pita look pretty good.

Visited on last week. Was not required to show a boarding pass. Was encouraged by the bar tender to order something else when I had leftover credit, and took a sandwich to go. Good experience.

I went there last month though I was flying from Terminal A. You can get there from any terminal, but from A it was quite a walk. I was short on time and getting my sandwich took a long time though I ordered something very simple, like cold cuts, I had to literally stuff it into my belly in 5 minutes. Should have taken it to go. So-so experience.

We were not asked for boarding passes. We were not allowed takeout which we would gave preferred but had no issue with taking leftovers. We had only ordered one entree each and a soft drink each.

    Thus was late August.

Stephanie's for food/wine in Terminal B is better (and allows you to take food to go as long as you have stuff there). Remy's is ok but has service issues based on lack of staff (they are very hard working though). Sometimes they will allow you to take stuff to go, sometimes they do not. The AirFrance lounge is decent (and quiet). "The Club" in Terminal E (way way far away) has far better alcohol...

Stay far far far away from "The Lounge" in Terminal C.

Side note.. bring the physical card to Remy's (otherwise you will have to physically hand them your phone) .. and if you ask, they will allow you to charge the tip if you are under.

    @Lucky / OMAAT team,

Tampa has just added an airport restaurant to PP. I know how much you love Tampa being your hometown and all :)

I second the Air France lounge. It's actually just as close to the jetBlue Mint gates and while lacking windows it has a respectable food spread and is much cleaner.

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. Sat at the bar, asked for the check, and waited 45min for her to take payment. I was going to miss my flight and had no idea what to do since the bartender was ignoring my aggressive attempts to get their attention.

I ended up standing up and generally yelling to the room that I wanted to pay, I had been trying to for 45min, and that I was going to have to leave without paying or miss my flight. I figured at least then I'd have witnesses. Still, no one helped me, so I went without paying and didn't get arrested...but it was so uncomfortable.

@Richard, when I went we were both asked to show out boarding passes.

Also, they didnt let us take any leftovers to go. They were honest leftovers (we didnt order an extra entree to take advantage of the credit, we just had some extra fries and half a sandwhich) and they still said not allowed.

I thought the food was extremely mediocre.

But much better than the Lounge mentioned by Ben. That place is...

Tip: If youre flying Jetblue and you have time, you can walk to the Air France lounge. Its listed as Terminal E, but is actually in the connection area between the two terminals.

Lol...I wouldn’t think a hummus platter would be good at a Boston sports bar. Reminds me of the joke from The Departed about cranberry juice. I am sure it won’t happen but it would be nice if some of the restaurants would include gratuity. I would personally tip but I am sure enough people are not that the servers don’t like it.

Do you have to show a boarding pass?
