Hello everyone,
I really need some help from pros. I have learned a lot from this blog and few others and now putting everything in practice.
I am planning a trip in Nov with my wife. Here’s some info:
Places to visit/Itinerary
ATL – SEA – LAS/SFO/VAN (depending on avail) – HKG (2 days stopover) – DXB
I am planning to use Alaska miles for this part because it will let me take a stopover. I will be looking for business class on Cathay.

DXB – BOM
Planning to just buy revenue ticket for econ as prices are really low between these airports.

BOM – HKT
Planning to just buy revenue ticket for econ as prices are really low between these airports. I can also use thank you points. Problem here is when I leave India we will have 2 checked bags per person so we have to pay lot of $$ in baggage fess. (If someone can give some advice on saving baggage fees. I was thinking to deposit at BKK and take Air Asia to HKT)

HKT – ATL (Prob take flight from BKK as getting award flight out of HKT to US will be very difficult)
I really want to fly this segment in First class. I have saved enough miles for both of us in AA to buy 1st class. (Its a dream for me). The only option i can think of out of BKK/HKT are CX or JAL. Both right now not avail for Nov 26/27. It had 2-4 first class seats avail until day before yest on JAL.

Guys am i going in right direction or there are any other options I am missing?
I have 140k Thank you points, 103K membership, 78k Spg, 25k Alaska and 150k AA miles.
