Edelweiss currently has four A350s, the last two they should be getting have been flying for a few years for Thai. The first one has already been withdrawn from use to prep for it's transfer to Edelweiss, the second one should be doing the same shortly. I wonder if these will be the first two to get the new cabins
Surprised to see that for a leisure airline they did not choose the honeymoon configuration in the middle seats.
So an extra 3" legroom for economy but since the seats take up the same cabin footprint the only way this happens is by removing the padding.
I don't understand why so many of these business + products maintain a form of side cubby/table in the front instead of making the ottoman and thus the bed larger. Am I missing something ?
That is where your foot rests, to basically be very space efficient, airlines would often put those side cubbies so they can offer a full bed while not making it as space inefficient as first class.
2-3-2 in PE is really generous on the A350
It's similar to LX/LH and EK. AF and BA went for a tighter product (2-4-2).
It's only generous if the price is similar to the tighter product. I guess the price points of those different products will reflect the real estate they occupy.
The industry is still trying to figure out which PE product standard has highest ROI. I guess we will know pretty soon.
Your and my definition of swanky must be different. These look boring, uncomfortable and bleak.
I wish US airlines had external cameras. An outside view makes the center seats more tolerable.
