Upgrading BA flights with Avios (if ticket was issued by AA on AA ticket number/stock)

Upgrading BA flights with Avios (if ticket was issued by AA on AA ticket number/stock)

Have booked premium economy tickets operated by BA through AA (with AA ticket numbers). Can I use avios to upgrade these tickets assuming there is availability? If not can I use aadvantage miles to upgrade them? Have not booked an unrestricted (flexible) ticket but rather a cheaper priced one.

Pretty sure you cant upgrade with Avios since AA issued the ticket. And AA wont let you upgrade with AAdvantage miles since you’d need to have booked a full fare ticket.
