Booking a United Business Saver seat when none are available

Booking a United Business Saver seat when none are available

Regarding the ability to get priority for a business class saver seat, one could book an economy saver seat using the number of miles needed for a business class saver seat. We had the opportunity to use this for a flight for my daughter from London to Los Angeles, and it worked as she was upgraded to business class once she was on the plane. Has this changed with the move to dynamic pricing? Thanks.

Dynamic pricing won’t start until the fall. Instead of no saver space you’d probably see more expensive business class awards. The old award rates wouldn’t really be for flights on United metal anymore. So what you did probably wouldn’t be around anymore.
