The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card is the best way to gain Admirals Club access. The card has a $450 annual fee, which is otherwise the lowest cost you could pay for an Admirals Club membership. What makes the card unique is that:
- The primary cardmember gets a full Admirals Club membership
- You can add up to 10 authorized users on the card at no additional cost, and each of them gets Admirals Club access, and they can each bring two guests or immediate family members
In other words, with a single $450 annual fee you’re potentially getting Admirals Club access for up to 11 parties.
I recently applied for the card and was instantly approved. I’ve received the card in the mail (though the primary cardmember can access the Admirals Club even before physically receiving the card), and was obviously eager to add authorized users, given that it’s one of the selling points of this card.
How do you add authorized users to the Citi AAdvantage Executive Card?
It’s super easy. Log into your Citi account and go to the card management page by clicking on this specific card.
At the bottom of the next page you’ll see a section that reads “Your Offers & Benefits.” If you see “Add Authorized User” listed, click that. If you don’t, click on “View More Benefits.”
On the next page you’ll see all the benefits listed, and in the left column you should see a section that reads”Add An Authorized User.”
Click that, and then enter the name and date of birth of the authorized user. You’ll also have the option of selecting whether or not you want them to have access to your online account.
On the next page you’ll receive confirmation of the request, and a few minutes later you should receive an email confirmation that the request was approved.
Can you add a spending limit for authorized users?
Unfortunately not. So be sure you trust all the authorized users you add to your Citi AAdvantage Executive Card (or any card, for that matter), since they’ll have full access to your credit line.
