$50 Off Two Day Silvercar Rental Throughout 2015

I’ve written extensively about Silvercar, including about the rental experience at LAX. Silvercar is a fairly new rental car company with only one type of car in their fleet, the Audi A4.

Each A4 is equipped with free GPS, wifi, and satellite radio, and Silvercar has a fair fuel plan, whereby they’ll fill up your tank for the “market price” plus a $5 refueling fee.

For the month of April, Silvercar is offering $49 (plus taxes/fees) rentals using promotion code SILVER49. There are basically no strings attached, so if there’s a car available at any of their locations, that’s the base rate.

Well, at Frequent Traveler University in Dallas this past weekend, Silvercar shared yet another promotion code, which has the potential to be extremely useful. Through the end of the year, Silvercar is offering $50 off a two or more day rental. This is valid for both new and existing renters, and can’t be combined with any other discount promotions. Simply use promotion code FTU50 to see the discount reflected.

For example, weekend rentals typically cost $59 per day, so through this promotion that would be lowered to $34 per day plus taxes/fees. Including all taxes and fees that’s a total of $38 per day. That’s an amount I’ll gladly pay for a weekend Audi rental in Los Angeles.

Anyway, what makes this promotion so awesome is that it’s available to existing members, so if you’re making a two day rental, this promotion is probably as good as it gets.

In terms of even further value you can get out of your rental, Silvercar has a great referral program, which they just recently improved. If you’re referred to Silvercar and make your first rental, both the person referring and person being referred will receive $25 in cash.

If you haven’t yet rented from Silvercar, simply go to the sign-up page on silvercar.com, and enter the “Referral Code” at the bottom of the page. If you’d like to use my code (which I’d of course be incredibly grateful for) it’s BSCHLAPPIG, though feel free to post yours below as well, and someone else can use it.

  1. Hey Lucky,

Does the $38 include insurance? I’d be a bit concerned about using my credit card insurance coverage, since the fineprint on it says that it does not cover “luxury cars”.

  2. Thanks Lucky! Had a Nissan Versa reserve for $58 USD for a weekend in LA; for $76, got the Audi.

  3. Thanks for passing this on Lucky! I was going to use them for a weekend in Dallas in May anyhow and this promo code made their price slightly less than what the major rental companies are charging. I’ve had good experiences with Silvercar at LAX and MIA. Highly recommend them if you’ve got the money to spend. My promo code is TTIMONERE if anyone wants to try them.

  4. Thanks!!

Had a 3 day rental in Austin with Enterprise (I know). Gladly changing to Silvercar.
FYI, you need to be logged into account for discount code to reflect correct pricing.

  5. Seems like it’s not possible to stack both the SILVER49 Code with FTU50 code. Let me know if I’m missing something!

  6. @ C Diddy — That’s correct. As stated in the post, it can’t be combined with any other discount promotions.

  7. Really wanted to try Silvercar.

Used your referral code, but unfortunately, LAX only has $89 fares this weekend. I can bring it down to $50 using the April promo code, but total is still $110 compared to Hertz Gold at $45. Not worth the price difference to me to drive a nicer car w/ wifi.

Will look into it next time. If I could use the $25 discount on the first ride to bring total down to $85 I would consider, the $65 I save is just too much.

  8. @ ashley — Don’t blame you, I would have probably done the same. Hopefully prices are more competitive next time.
