I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far! It's a big week over here, as we're (finally) taking our son on his first long haul trip, and I'm equal parts anxious and excited, so we'll see how it goes.
On the points & travel front, gosh it was quite a week, especially for late July (when there's usually not a lot of news). Delta had a sustained meltdown, the details of the new tentative American flight attendant contract were revealed, the Amex Gold Card underwent a refresh, Southwest announced it would introduce assigned seating, premium seating, and redeyes, and more.
