I’ve written extensively about Silvercar, which is my favorite car rental company. While they constantly have great promotions for first time renters, there aren’t as many offers for returning customers. However, there’s a benefit I wasn’t aware of until recently that can save you money on all your Silvercar rentals, even if you’re already a Silvercar customer.

If you have a Visa Infinite card, like The Ritz-Carlton™ Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you can get 30% off Silvercar rentals of at least two days when entering code VINFINITE at the time of booking. This seems to be available at all locations across all dates, without any blackout dates.

For example, Silvercar has some great rates over the next few weeks, starting at just $49 per day:

The 30% discount can even be applied to these bookings, bringing the cost down to just $35 per day:

That’s an amazing deal for a Silvercar rental.

If you’re a first time renter, keep in mind that Silvercar offers $25 in cash after your first rental if you’re referred by an existing customer. If you enter my code, BSCHLAPPIG, at the time you sign-up for Silvercar, you’ll get that after your first rental (and I’ll get the same). Just go to the top right of and click on “sign-up,” and then enter your email address and password. Once your email address has been verified you can log-in and enter the above referral code.

For those of you not familiar with Silvercar, it’s an innovative rental car company available in about a dozen markets, with only one type of car in their fleet, the Audi A4.

Each A4 is equipped with free GPS, wifi, and satellite radio, and Silvercar has a fair fuel plan, where they’ll fill up your tank for the “market price” plus a $5 refueling fee.

I feel like they charge a reasonable premium for what they offer, though admittedly everyone values things like this differently.

As of now, Silvercar is available in the following markets:

  • Austin – AUS
  • Chicago – ORD
  • Dallas – DAL
  • Denver – DEN
  • Ft. Lauderdale – FLL
  • Las Vegas — LAS
  • Los Angeles – LAX
  • Miami – MIA
  • Newark — EWR
  • New York City — Brooklyn
  • New York City – Manhattan
  • Phoenix – PHX
  • San Francisco – SFO

Bottom line

Being able to get a 30% discount on Silvercar rentals will save some people a lot of money, given that this deal can be used over and over again. It’s yet another great benefit of having a Visa Infinite card.

  1. Used Silvercar for the first time yesterday when I needed a car for the day in LA (and used your code, so you have some money coming your way). I’m officially in love! It was an amazing ride, a great price, and just a good experience all around. I hope they are able to make a go of it because I want them to expand further, I’ll use them when I can.

  2. Silvercar is a great idea but tough for me to use. The dropped their DFW location; yes it was inconvenient and yes it was still worth it. That inconvenient DFW location led to overages in charges but also led to a 50% off coupon I’ve still yet to use. And the SFO location is sketchy to say the least, even if it is fairly easy getting back to the airport (pickup was fine since they meet you near the rental car facility). The Uber they called for us had no idea how to get to the airport and that was after I had to clear space in his trunk for our luggage.

If I’m ever near another Silvercar location I’ll gladly use them again but it’s tough for me…

  3. I asked them about one way rentals and they have to be approved by the management at both locations prior to booking 🙂 Love Silvercar!
