I’ve been looking through the T&C of spg to find an answer and wanted to get your opinion. If I book a design hotel through the UR or TY portal instead of the spg.com site to reduce the cost of the room night out of pocket, do I still get Starpoints, elite benefits and credit towards promotions on those reservations?

hi JWHPN2, per the SPG site: [URL]http://www.starwoodhotels.com/design/support/faq/index.html?language=en_US[/URL], it’s pretty clear that you have to book through SPG to get points and credit. I wouldn’t book through the TY or UR portal if those things were important to me.
