jsings New MemberWe may have a 12 or 15 hour layover in Paris on a flight from IAD to JNB. Will our luggage be checked through to Johannesburg from Dulles? Also, are there lockers at CDG where we can store our carry ons if we decide to go into Paris between planes?

Whether or not you can check your bags through will depend upon the agent in Dulles, really. Different airlines have different rules, and some agents interpret things even more differently.
CDG doesn’t have lockers, but they do have a “left luggage” storage place. I can’t remember the name of it (maybe someone else does?) but you’d walk right past it to get on the RER.
