Close Cathay Card and you forfeit all Asia Miles?!

Close Cathay Card and you forfeit all Asia Miles?!

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hey Lucky, I tried to close my Cathay Pacific Visa and the agent told me I would lose ALL my Asia Miles, the miles I had before opening the card as well the 50k miles for meeting the spend on the card! I called twice and the same answer This is pretty bad business. What is your take?

No, that’s nonsense. The mileage expiration policy isn’t tied to whether or not you have the credit card. AsiaMiles expire every 36 months, I believe, though you can pay a fee to renew them.
