hi —
wondering what will happen to the very good virgin elevate visa card when elevate goes away.
will my card be discontinued? will alaska offer a similar card? should i be transfering all my mile to alaska now, or wait?

I don’t think anything has been published so far. Most times one of two things will happen: The current issuer (comenity?) will sell their product line to BOA which issues the AS card or they will convert it to one of their other cards. You’ll just have to keep an eye out. Have you tried contacting the issuer?
