Looking back at 2008, I figured I’d provide a few links to some of my travel highlights from the past year:
- A trip to Hawaii over Memorial Day Weekend with nearly two dozen FlyerTalkers
- A trip to Paris on the inaugural OpenSkies flight along with a stay at the InterContinental Paris
- A weekend trip to Chicago along with a stay at the InterContinental Chicago
- A trip to Malta and Frankfurt with my brother in Lufthansa First
- Bump mania back in July whereby I got two free tickets and a $600 voucher for a single mileage run
- A weekend in San Francisco with around 100 FlyerTalkers, including a tour of an airline catering facility and a stay in the Bay Suite at the InterContinental San Francisco
- A trip to my favorite city in the world (Hong Kong) and probably the most beautiful place on earth (Bali), including an upgrade to the Jimbaran Bay Suite at the InterContinental Bali, not to mention a shout out from Toronto ATC on Air Canada (thanks guys!)

What a nice year of travel! I'd love to get on just one or two of those type trips in 09. Already have 15k MQM on DL booked by early February for business, so hopefully I can squeeze out Gold again. I dropped to Silver this year. :(
