Unintentional Hidden City Ticketing

Unintentional Hidden City Ticketing

In a few weeks, I’m flying from SFO to SAT on United. On the way back, I’m flying SAT-IAH-SFO. I need to be in Houston now, so I don’t want to take the last leg of my itinerary (IAH-SFO).

United wants $200 to remove that leg from the itinerary, and I don’t want to pay that. I’m tempted to just not take the flight. Is there any risk in doing that? I’m not going to make it a habit or anything, but I don’t want to risk my Premier Status or award miles….

    Thoughts?

As long as you only have carry-on bags and don’t make a habit of doing this you should be fine.
