Emirates downgrade

Emirates downgrade

we are flying next month Lgw dxb hkt booked and paid as part of a package holiday to fly in first class cabin.
Due to operational reasons emirates have changed the plane on the inbound flight from Phuket to dxb so no longer F class.
Have been rebooked into J and must they are offering (via travel agent) and only after we have flown is £125pp
I pointed out am sure I would not have been able to upgrade from J to F for that amount.
My complaints are falling on deaf ears.
Feel like once we have flown it’s too late
Anyone had any success getting more in similar circumstances?

Could you ask to cancel the entire trip and rebook elsewhere? I agree that seems really low.
