Hi,

I recently booked an award flight on Hainan Air using Alaska Air points. I can’t choose seats through the Alaska site or the Hainan site. I called Hainan and was told I could only choose seats at the counter at the airport when I check in.

Does anyone out there know of a way to pick seats prior to that?

many airlines if booked through another website, or via a travel agent, you can’t choose your seat before check in, sometimes the airline can’t even do it with you calling. I know a few airlines like this
