AMEX Points/American Airlines – Help!

AMEX Points/American Airlines – Help!

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello!

I am an EA who needs to book AA flights using AMEX points. As AA is not a direct partner, what is the best way to do this without booking through AMEX Travel?

    Thanks!

Hi Emily, you can transfer Amex MR points to Marriott (I think at a 1-1 ratio), and then transfer Marriott points to AA, BUT it is not a 1-1 ratio. Either 2-1 or even 3-1. Not a great use of points. Why not book through Amex travel?

If there’s saver space, you can transfer the Amex MR points to BA Avios to book.
