this the best card for a frequent AS flyer.
I'd argue it's potentially one of the best all-around credit cards, especially if you live/travel abroad, a lot. Uncapped +3x everything (extra with BofA/Merrill account, no minimums, $1 in checking for that extra 10%). Surprised BofA/AS hasn't pulled that yet.
I wish you could use this for just yourself too....otherwise you need 100k in your account to use the full value.....so be careful!
Wasn't the SUB 100K points not long ago?
Was like last fall (2025). And, if you signed up in-advance to be notified about the new cards there was an additional 5K. So, best-ever, technically, 5K, + SUB (100K + 25K Global, after $6K spend).
It was like 2-3 months ago as well. There was a link floating around and I was fortunate to grab it.
It was 105,500 points for the early sign-up - 500 points just for going on the new card wait list, then the 5000 for taking the card when it became available plus SUB (100K + 25K Global).
What's the process for using the Global Companion Award?

It's really straightforward: you can find the companion code in your account (under Rewards), then you apply the code and do a search for 2 people (there's a direct link there to apply the code so you don't have to copy paste). You should see the 2nd ticket discounted by the companion award you're using.
I've read that you can sometimes get a second one of these while the first is still open. Anyone have experience?
The 25K expires around the time the anniversary one is deposited, so unlikely there; however, if you earn one 100K, then quickly spend $60K after the card anniversary, I suppose you could have two 100Ks at once, but these can’t be combined, so kinda impractical.
