AA Award Space

AA Award Space

Is there any way to get better award space availability? I’ve been looking for business class awards on AA for next June to Italy. All options I see involve BA and I really don’t want to pay the extra fees that come with that. Do any of their co-branded cards offer visibility to more award space like United?

Where are you flying from? What US city?

STL. Travel dates on or after June 17, 2019.

Routes from PHL have plenty of open seats but didn’t see any award availability.

No. No special award availability for co-branded AA card holders.

American’s award availability to Europe is horrific. You can look for flights on Finnair or Iberia for lower fees, but for the most part I’d try and use other miles and save my AA miles for other regions.
