New Promo: Earn Bonus Hyatt Points For MGM Stays

World of Hyatt has a cool partnership with M Life Rewards, allowing World of Hyatt members to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points for MGM stays.

Stays at select MGM properties accrue points at the same rates as normal Hyatt properties, and you’re also eligible for elite nights when staying at these properties.

Well, if you’re headed to Las Vegas anytime soon, Hyatt has just launched two new promotions allowing members to earn bonus points for MGM stays over the coming weeks.

Earn double Hyatt points on select MGM stays

Between April 15 and July 31, 2019, World of Hyatt members can earn double World of Hyatt points for eligible spend at participating M Life Rewards properties in Las Vegas.

That means members are earning 10 World of Hyatt points per dollar spent, before factoring in elite bonuses, credit card bonuses, etc.

Registration is required to take part in this promotion, and you need to be a member of both World of Hyatt and M Life Rewards to be eligible. Participating properties for this promotion include the following:

  • Aria Resort & Casino Las Vegas
  • Bellagio Las Vegas
  • Delano Las Vegas
  • Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Las Vegas
  • MGM Grand Las Vegas
  • Mirage Las Vegas
  • Park MGM Las Vegas
  • The Signature at MGM Grand
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa at Aria Las Vegas

Bonus points should post to your account within three to four weeks of your eligible stay.

Earn 20% Hyatt bonus points on select MGM stays

The double points isn’t available at all MGM properties. Also between April 15 and July 31, 2019, World of Hyatt members can earn 20% more World of Hyatt points at the following properties:

  • Excalibur Hotel & Casino Las Vegas
  • Luxor Las Vegas
  • New York New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

That translates to one extra World of Hyatt point per dollar spent, so it’s not generous, but is better than nothing. Otherwise the terms are the same for both promotions.

Stack this with Hyatt’s current promo

Either of the above promotions can be stacked with Hyatt’s current global promotion. Through May 15, 2019, World of Hyatt is offering 1,000 bonus points per night at all eligible properties, including M Life properties.

So you can earn 1,000 World of Hyatt bonus points per night, in addition to earning up to double points.

Bottom line

I’m a big fan of the World of Hyatt and M Life Rewards partnership in Las Vegas, and have earned some bonus points thanks to it.

If you’re a Hyatt loyalist and are going to Las Vegas in the coming weeks, you’re potentially looking at some very nice opportunities to earn bonus points.

One last tip that’s worth mentioning — if you’re staying at any M Life properties you can charge most expenses from other M Life properties to your folio (including for restaurants). This is a great way to earn bonus points for a lot more than just what you spent on your room in Las Vegas.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this Hyatt promotion for MGM stays?

  1. Hi Lucky, I am planning a last min trip to Bali with my family right now. Grand Hyatt Bali is a cat 2 hotel (standard suite at 13k points). However, all the associates on phone quoted 20k per night for those suites! Some of them even quoted 13k per night correctly before they came back with 20k per night rate. Is Hyatt playing games on standard/premium suite awards?

  2. I’m assuming that this promo is only valid on rates booked on Hyatt’s website, not MGM Resorts’, right? Generally the rates are cheaper on MGM’s website, so I book there and have the clerks manually enter my WOH number upon check in.

  3. @Cliff

it’s because it was a category 3 hotel only a month ago. Not everyone is aware of the rate change yet probably. Mention the rate change.
