Interesting expansion to the Middle East, and yet, Dubai has been left off the map. Perhaps so they don't have to go head to head with emirates?

Ok I’ve never used virgin Atlantic miles to book a flight. When I looked for a chicago to Rome flight I couldn’t figure out how to select ORD as the origin. I’ve made redemptions with United directly and southwest. But the next step in complexity has me stumped.
So great to see the expansion of ITA into more U.S. markets. Although they are already flying nonstop from a nearby airport, having more positioning options makes the opportunity that much better. The only downside is that those of us on the west coast need 100k miles in each direction, which is a bit steep. Here's hoping for some type of transfer promotion sometime soon.
Glad to see them expand. Doubtful they will remain in SkyTeam. Will probably be in Star Alliance and a partner with United before too long. So long, Delta.
They used to fly to Abu Dhabi because of their partnership with Etihad but that route has not since restarted. This ORD route is a restart of a former Alitalia route.
I'm guessing that LH is trying to position ITA as a way to start long/thin routes to Africa and the Middle East due to Italy's geographical location.
Why didn't you highlight that ITA also announced Toronto? Not allowed to under your marketing agreement with AC / Aeroplan? Your bias and one sided promotion of AC is unbelievable Ben.
Just flown the 330 GRU-FCO route. Not impressed by the old interiors, tatty. I know they are going to refurb, but it was poor, IFE was impossible to use (broken?) so they gave out lots of free net tokens. Net didn't work either.
Food definitely down a few notches from the Alitalia days, the cost cutting has begun.
