The Andaz Maui has become one of Hawaii’s most popular luxury resorts. While the hotel belongs to World of Hyatt, it’s notoriously difficult to redeem points here. For those looking to make a cash booking at the Andaz Maui, in this post I wanted to talk about the best way of going about it.
In this post:
Book Andaz Maui with Hyatt Privé
If you’re booking a paid stay at the Andaz Maui you should absolutely book through the Hyatt Privé program, which is available through select travel agents. If booking through Hyatt Privé you can stack a sixth night free with perks like complimentary breakfast, an upgrade, a hotel credit, and more. This even applies to stays in the Andaz Maui’s new villas (read my review of the Andaz Maui villas).
In order to take advantage of the below perks you need to book what’s equivalent to the “Standard Rate” on Hyatt’s website, so this doesn’t work for advance purchase rates, points bookings, AAA rates, corporate rates, etc. In a vast majority of cases this will still represent the best deal.
Here are the two exclusive opportunities available through Hyatt Privé for stays at the Andaz Maui:
Andaz Maui sixth night free
The Andaz Maui is offering a sixth night free exclusively when booking through a Hyatt Privé travel advisor:
- This is valid for stays between April 1 and December 20, 2023
- This promotion is valid for guest rooms, suites, and villas
- This promotion is repeatable, meaning you could use it twice for a 12 night stay, three times for an 18 night stay, etc.
- You must book the first five nights at the “Standard Rate” to receive the sixth night free
Andaz Maui upgrade, free breakfast, and credit
For booking through a Hyatt Privé travel advisor you can receive the following additional perks at the Andaz Maui on an ongoing basis:
- Complimentary breakfast for two guests per bedroom (if you book a suite or villa with multiple bedrooms, this benefit would apply to each bedroom)
- A one category room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of booking (room-to-room or suite-to-suite), based on availability at the time of booking
- An additional $100 property credit
- A welcome amenity
This really gives you the best of both worlds, as you get a sixth night free, free breakfast, an upgrade, a property credit, and much more.
Andaz Maui Hyatt Privé FAQs
I figured I’d answer a few common questions about booking Hyatt Privé rates at the Andaz Maui:
Do you earn points for Hyatt Privé bookings?
You sure do! Hyatt Privé rates qualify for points accrual and elite nights, and even count towards World of Hyatt promotions. This is the same as booking directly with Hyatt.
Can I book Hyatt Privé without a travel agent?
No, Hyatt Privé benefits and the sixth night free are available exclusively through an eligible travel agent, and not directly through Hyatt.
What rates qualify for Hyatt Privé?
The Hyatt Privé rate will be identical to the “Standard Rate” published on hyatt.com. The rate reflected there is the nightly rate, and doesn’t factor in the sixth night free that’s available through Hyatt Privé.
Is there a minimum length of stay for Hyatt Privé?
No, at Andaz properties Hyatt Privé perks even apply on one night bookings.
What if I’m World of Hyatt Globalist member?
World of Hyatt Globalist members already receive quite a few perks for Hyatt stays, so is there any value to a Globalist member booking a Hyatt Privé rate? Absolutely! Globalist members will benefit from the $100 property credit, the potential upgrade at the time of booking, the welcome amenity, the sixth night free, and more.
How does Hyatt Privé compare to Virtuoso?
While the Andaz Maui also belongs to Virtuoso, it’s advantageous to book through Hyatt Privé, as is commonly the case when a hotel group has its own proprietary program for travel agents.
The sixth night free and upgrade at the time of booking (subject to availability) are exclusively available through Hyatt Privé, while they’re not available through Virtuoso.
Bottom line
Maui is gorgeous, and the Andaz is one of the most popular places to stay on the island. The hotel isn’t cheap, so if you are looking to stay at the Andaz and are booking a cash rate, I’d highly recommend booking through Hyatt Privé.
This way you’ll get free breakfast, a room upgrade, a $100 credit, a sixth night free, and much more. The hotel still won’t be cheap even with these offers, but it’s a better way to book than any other option out there.
If you’re looking for another luxury hotel in Maui I’d also recommend considering the Four Seasons, in which case you’ll be best off booking through Four Seasons Preferred Partner. There are some other great luxury hotel options in Hawaii as well, like Mauna Lani, an Auberge Resort.
