The much delayed Andaz Turks & Caicos is getting closer to opening. It has finally started accepting reservations, though only for roughly a year from now…
In this post:
Basics of the Andaz Turks & Caico at Grace Bay
The Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay is now accepting reservations for stays as of June 1, 2027. This will mark Hyatt’s first hotel in Turks & Caicos, and the first Andaz property in the Caribbean. For that matter, it’s one of the only Andaz properties that’s currently in the pipeline outside of Asia, as the brand has really lost steam.
The 5.5-acre resort will offer three restaurants and bars, a spa, a kids club, a fitness center, and more. It’ll be located directly on Grace Bay, known for offering one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in the Caribbean.
The Andaz will be comprised of 59 rooms and 74 branded residences, so at least the hotel portion of the property will be boutique.
The opening of this resort has been majorly delayed. It was initially announced in 2018 with a 2021 opening, but the timeline slipped by six years, presumably due to a combination of the pandemic, plus… well, how hotel construction projects often work out. Hopefully there are no additional delays beyond the current planned mid 2027 opening.

Andaz Turks & Caico rates & points requirements
With the Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay now bookable, what are rates like? For those redeeming points, this is a Category 8 World of Hyatt property, meaning a free night redemption in a standard room costs 35,000-75,000 points per night.
World of Hyatt’s new award chart sure makes top end redemptions expensive, unfortunately! As of now the hotel is only bookable for June 2026, and summer is ostensibly low season in the Caribbean. Despite that, the entire month has “moderate” pricing, significantly more expensive than the old Category 8 peak pricing.
When it comes to cash rates, those currently start at around $1,300 per night, and that’s before the taxes and service charges, which instantly drive the rate up to $1,800 per night. In the off season. Ouch.

If you are looking to book a cash stay here, I’d recommend doing so through the Hyatt Privé program, which offers extra perks like room upgrades, complimentary breakfast, and a hotel credit.
I suppose good options on Grace Bay are limited, and this hotel is boutique. But at these rates, they better offer something significantly better than the typical Andaz experience, in my opinion.
I’m looking forward to this new Turks & Caicos property!
Turks & Caicos is absolutely beautiful, and it’s an easy getaway from the United States, given how close it is to Florida. Historically, the country hasn’t had that many points hotels, though that’s slowly starting to change.
Several years back, we saw the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos. It has an amazing location on Grace Bay and the grounds of the property are beautiful, but it otherwise doesn’t feel very luxurious, and lacks personality.
So it’ll be nice to have another points property, and I look forward to learning more about the Andaz. Maybe I’m overly optimistic, but I think the Andaz might just end up offering a better experience than the Ritz-Carlton, at least based on the design renderings, and also the more boutique scale of the property. Andaz really is quite an inconsistent brand.
Even beyond Grace Bay, we’re seeing some other great new options in Turks & Caicos. In 2025, we saw the opening of Salterra Turks & Caicos, a Marriott Luxury Collection property. This is great for those who want a bit more secluded of a trip, since South Caicos Island is a bit less crowded than the area around Providenciales. This is also where Sailrock Resort is located, which is an independent hotel affiliated with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).
There’s also a Waldorf Astoria Turks & Caicos planned for a 2028 opening, located on Dellis Cay, a nearby island that’s not as developed, which can be reached by a 25-minute boat transfer from Providenciales. That should also be a great option, especially with how the Waldorf Astoria portfolio is developing. However, don’t count on that timeline sticking either.
Bottom line
The Andaz Turks & Caicos is accepting reservations for stays as of June 2027, and it will be located on the famous Grace Bay. The property will have just 59 hotel rooms, in addition to residences, so I like how it’s on a smaller scale than some other properties.
This should be a very nice addition to the Caribbean points hotel market. Hopefully we don’t see any additional delays with the opening…
What do you make of the upcoming Andaz Turks & Caicos?
Really shameful what Grace Bay has become with all these ugly concrete chain hotels.
There used to be a height limit so not to uglify thr beautiful coast, but money talks.
Cuba might be next. Its beaches are as nice as the Turks.
As if this will make up for the devaluations in May by Hyatt (and the recent Chase transfer devaluations)... still, cool, good for them. Wonder what the redemptions will peak-out at. Probably better than the new-ish Ritz-Carlton with the casino, nearby. For T&C, nothing will be better than Amanyara, but it's pricey, so...
1300 a night for a bare bones Andaz room with a bad bed and stark facilities? Hard pass.
Yet for 1,300 , they will give you a small mint .
Turks are in Turkey ; Caico monkeys are in coconut trees .
Silly comment, but thank you for at least spelling "Turkey" the correct way, in English. No one should support Erdogan's attempted re-branding. It's petty; he thinks we're stupid enough to confuse the country with the silly, fat bird that Americans eat at Thanksgiving... *cough* Also, he's an aging authoritarian who wants to control everything... free İmamoğlu!
