Would you transfer extra points from Chase to Korean Air

Would you transfer extra points from Chase to Korean Air

I think I’m going to transfer 480,000 UR to Korean Air for 3 roundtrip tickets on First but I’m wondering if you would recommend also transferring extra over to cover for the 3000 points/ticket needed for award ticket canceling/redepositing as a just in case? Or should I deal with it later if and when I really need to cancel any tickets? Correct me if I’m wrong but it doesn’t seem like you can just pay cash for cancelling award tickets like you can for itinerary changes? Thanks!

I think Marriott is keeping Korean as a transfer partner so although I don’t have many Marriott points left, I can do that transfer if & when needed later?
