Transferring ThankYou Points

Transferring ThankYou Points

  1. Anonymous Guest

I have around 50,000 Thank You points and would like your recommendation on which airline program to transfer them to, that will give me the best value. I fly mostly domestic in the US. I really like JetBlue but I see that ThankYou points transfer to TrueBlue at 1000 to 800. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Dave – are you in a rush to use your points or are you about to close your Citi card? If not I’d just leave those points where they are until you need to use them, which is the advantage of having flexible points. And don’t forget you can use your TY points to book directly through Citi’s portal on JetBlue or other airlines and to the airline it will look like a cash ticket so you’ll be earning miles on whichever airline you’re flying. That can come in handy when there’s no saver award space for the time you want to travel.
