I am booked through United on an award ticket from JNB to MIA (in July) – first leg is on SAA (JNB to MUC). The last 2 legs are on United metal. The SAA flight will be canceled. What are my options with United when I call to try to re-book? Thanks!

I would wait and see what they auto re-book you in, but your options are pretty wide-open. My guess is they’d put you on Lufthansa through Frankfurt, and you could even ask to then go direct on Lufthansa back to Miami…

I had a United award ticket on TAP Portugal in business class from BRU-LIS-SFO. Original flights had a 2 hours layover in Lisbon, but a schedule change mode that a 23 hour layover in Lisbon. I called United and the agent couldn’t have been more accommodating. She changed it to BRU-ORD-SFO in real Polaris. Was happy to help us and it was super easy. I was very impressed with the entire experience.
