James321 MemberI recently was flying ATL to LGA. At check-in, I paid $25 for a checked bag, but then was upgrade to first class — first time ever — at the gate for “being a loyal AA Advantage member.”
Can I ask to have my $25 bag fee refunded since a first class passenger would get to check a bag for free?
Yes, I know this is a stupid question, but thought I should ask. 🙂

You can try though I dont think they would refund it. If you fly AA often and need to check in a bag often, I’d consider picking up the Citi AA Platinum card. $95 a year but first checked bag is free for you and anyone else flying on the same reservation as you.
