Flying Blue upgrade Premium Econ to Buz

Flying Blue upgrade Premium Econ to Buz

  1. Anonymous Guest

Booked a return flight for two from Vancouver to Berlin via Paris on Air France this July 8th. Several months ago I called Flying Blue to upgrade with points from premium econ. to business class. I was told there were no available seats and to call back within a month before departure. I did this to hear the same thing and to try at the airport at time of departure. Meanwhile I have been monitoring Air France buss. class seat availability over this period and there are still ample seats available for purchase. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. Otherwise what is the sense of accumulating loyalty program points. I already received notice that my 87,000 plus points will expire in Sept 2019.

Seats being available for sale doesn’t mean they’re available as upgrades.

I’d keep calling and checking online to see if maybe there is business class award spade.

Historically AF is very stingy with awards seats. Furthermore, business class on their A380s is outdated

    Hi Gordon!
What David said is correct! There may be many business class seats available for purchase, but Revenue Management has not released them as upgradable as of yet in hopes of selling them to revenue passengers. Call back around a week before travel! If still nothing, check with the AF ticketing desk at the airport, they should be able to do it for you there
