Anonymous GuestI was on my way for Platinum for life with SPG…had achieved platinum with SPG for 6 consecutive years and could have easily achieve the “for life” status in the next 4 years. Now I have a dilemma for next year…with so many good options transfering SPG to Marriott points, should I stick to SPG and get platinum for a 7th year or should I dilute my stays with Marriott and try to get the platinum with Marriott via the Ritz Carlton credit card and break the streak? What is your best guess what will happen with this life statuses and how will it be handled, specially us cought in the middle?
I am gold for life BTW. -

I’d probably stick with SPG until more details about the joint program show up and then decide how you want to proceed.
