Hi Lucky,
I was thinking about buying AA miles with the new bonus offer which you had mentioned in a recent post. Should I buy them? I am thinking of travelling to Asia this summer in Business class. The one way business fare is 70K miles. If I buy the most miles 150K which will give me another 115K bonus miles I think. This will give me more than enough miles. Or should I just buy the fare which is almost the same amount if I buy the miles? Please advice? Confused here!!!!!

If you already have an itinerary in mind and can find award space that works for you using AA miles, you can call AA to hold the award itinerary before purchasing miles.

The promotion is fantastic but it’s almost never a good idea to buy miles speculatively. Only purchase the miles if you have a use in mind

Yea I do not have the exact dates. But I was thinking even if I don’t use them for trip to Asia, I can use them for trips within the US and the Islands.
I guess I have to think about this one more before I proceed.
