And… this lounge has a separate security check directly from the main terminal. Best part of the lounge.
You state "If you’re arriving on a non-Schengen flight and are connecting to a Schengen flight or ending your travels in Zurich, you’ll be picked up at your plane and dropped off here".
AFAIK this is only true for First Class guests and, for instance, not for HONs travelling in a different class.

I hear they will be relocating this lounge eventually while ZRH gets upgraded, I’ve been to the terminal E non-Schengen Swiss First Class Lounge (and slept soundly in that heavenly Hästens bed). But I never got the chance to experience the terminal A LX F Schengen lounge. I’m guessing I don’t have too much time left to get in there. In any case, thank you for the writeup.
No melted cheese pourover on your granola? Those menus are very cheese forward...not that there's anything wrong with that.

It truely does not get more Swiss than this.
In this and other articles you tend to describe lounge smoking areas as “civilized” - why? It seems like you’re buying into tobacco company PR and their attempts to make pipe/cigar use seem refined (in contrast to an uncivilized cigarette break); this furthers their attempt to try and avoid the stigmatization of global tobacco use and its public health risks.
@ David -- I've never smoked or vaped in my life (I've never even tried it), though I did grow up with parents who smoked. When I make the comment of a smoking area being civilized, I'm thinking of my dad, for example. He's a cigar smoker.
There's a big difference between a smoking area that's basically a "holding pen," where you have people standing shoulder to shoulder, and nowhere comfortable to sit, and a smoking area where there are comfortable chairs, drinks on offer, etc. The latter is what I'm describing as "civilized."
Interesting re entry requirements, SQ F pax on an LX flight number are now allowed entry to both A and E lounges.
Also HON members can enter flying Star Alliance flights, not just LH Group.
The guests can be flying economy?
It’s funny to see rack with magazines while at the same time offering to pax to pay for carbon offset slash biofuel.
The juxtaposition of your reviews on the lounges in A and E is kinda stark. (Like, this is nice, but... where's the beautiful terrace?!)
After reading the menus, my biggest question is what is eggplant caviar ? And why is it not called Baba Ganoush ?
Is that a big self-serve jar of Ricola Swiss herb cough drops?
Despite the size and the additional services (dedicated transfer and smoking room) from the picture taken the food choice is slightly wider than Senator lounge. But Ricola candies and Swiss chocolates are the same. Quite aseptic lounge. No vibes confirming the Swiss lounges style.
