The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol is accepting reservations for stays as of May 1, 2024. Here are some basic facts about the property:

• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will feature 96 accommodations, plus 61 branded residences; entry level accommodations will start at 79 square meters (847 square feet), so will be quite spacious
• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will be located 15 minutes from Cabo San Lucas, 25 minutes from San Jose del Cabo, and 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), so it will be easily accessible
• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will feature a large selection of food and beverage outlets, including Palmerio (a Mediterranean restaurant), Cayao by Richard Sandovol (a Nikkei restaurant), Coraluz (a Baja Mexican restaurant), Sora Rooftop Bar (serving craft cocktails), La Casona Bar (serving Mexican spirits), and more
• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will be a golfing destination, as will be located in the Cabo Del Sol development, featuring its own golf course as part of the Cove Club, designed by Fry Straka (the upcoming Park Hyatt Los Cabos will be located in the same development, though that’s not expected to open until 2025)
• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will feature the Tierra Mar Spa, featuring a variety of treatments
• The Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas will have multiple pools, as well as direct beach access; one unique thing about the beach is that it will be swimmable, unlike many others in the region

How does this compare to the other Four Seasons?

I’m a huge fan of the Los Cabos area. In particular, I like the climate (well, outside of summer), and I love the rugged desert-meets-ocean landscape, which is so different than what I’m used to living in Florida. On top of that, there are lots of amazing resorts, hospitality in the area is great, and there are top notch restaurants.

It’s interesting to note that the Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas is Four Seasons’ second property in the region, as there’s also the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. So, what’s the difference between the two properties?

The main difference to understand is that the new Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol is located in the “traditional” resort area of the region. This means you have access to lots of cute towns and great restaurants, and you’re not just captive to the resort.

Meanwhile the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas is located in the new(ish) Costa Palmas development (as the name suggests), and that’s pretty secluded. It’s over an hour from most of the popular areas of Los Cabos, so when you stay there, except that you’ll be enjoying that property, and not much else.

Now, the Costa Palmas property is spectacular, and is a destination in and of itself. I think the remoteness is largely a selling point, since it’s such a quiet area. If you’re a Four Seasons fan and are planning a trip to the area, I think there’s merit to staying at both properties, as they offer different kinds of vacations.

Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas rates & how to book

What are rates like at the Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Costa Del Col? Los Cabos has been a very hot hotel market in recent years, and rates reflect that.

As of now it looks like entry level rooms start somewhere in the range of $1,100-1,400 per night, depending on the time of year.
