The Citi® / AAdvantage Business™ World Elite Mastercard® is American’s primary co-branded business credit card. We recently saw an excellent limited time welcome offer introduced on this card, making it a great time to apply. There’s no reason not to pick up some AAdvantage miles, if eligible!

Citi AAdvantage Business Card 75K bonus miles offer

The Citi AAdvantage Business Card currently has a limited time welcome bonus of 75,000 AAdvantage bonus miles after spending $5,000 within the first five months. This is among the best offers that we’ve seen on this card.

I value AAdvantage miles at 1.5 cents each, so to me that bonus is worth $1,125. There are some incredible uses of American AAdvantage miles, including for travel on some world class partner airlines.

Also keep in mind that credit card spending will qualify for Loyalty Points (helping you earn elite status, including GoldPlatinumPlatinum Pro, or Executive Platinum), though the welcome bonus as such won’t. Upon completing minimum spending, you’d earn a minimum of 5,000 Loyalty Points.

Citi AAdvantage Business Card eligibility requirements

If you’re interested in applying for the Citi AAdvantage Business Card, the typical Citi credit card application restrictions apply, including that you can be approved for at most one Citi card every eight days, and at most two Citi cards every 65 days.

On top of that, the bonus isn’t available to those who have received a new account bonus on this exact card in the past 48 months. Eligibility is unrelated to having any other American Airlines credit cards.

If you’re concerned about Chase’s 5/24 rule, note that applying for a Citi business card generally won’t count toward that limit. I should also mention that at least anecdotally, this card seems to be quite easy to get approved for.

Why the Citi AAdvantage Business Card is worth it

The Citi AAdvantage Business Card has a reasonable $99 annual fee, which is even waived for the first 12 months, so this is a card that you can try before you even have to pay an annual fee. The card offers a variety of valuable perks, including:

  • 2x AAdvantage miles per dollar spent with American Airlines, and on telecommunications, cable and satellite providers, car rentals, and gas stations; credit card spending can also help you earn Loyalty Points
  • A first checked bag free on domestic American Airlines itineraries for the primary cardmember and up to four companions on the same reservation
  • The ability to earn a companion certificate for domestic economy travel when you spend $30,000 or more on the card in a card membership year, and when you renew the card
  • Membership in the AAdvantage Business program, potentially allowing you to rack up extra rewards for travel with American

Earn bonus AAdvantage miles on American purchases

Bottom line

The Citi AAdvantage Business Card is offering a limited time welcome bonus of 75,000 AAdvantage bonus miles after spending $5,000 within the first five months. This is a solid offer on a great card that even has its annual fee waived for the first year.

There’s also, of course, lots of interest in American cards, given that spending can help you earn status. If you’re eligible for this card, this would be the ideal time to apply.

Anyone plan to pick up the Citi AAdvantage Business Card with 75K miles?

I received my Biz card about 6 weeks ago. I received 853 Loyalty Points on my first month spending, but I can't find the miles posted to my AA Biz account. Also, when I book flights using my AAdvantage MC, as an Ex Plat, I receive more miles than using the Biz card. I will qualify for the bonus miles and see if it keeping the Biz card is worth the $99 fee.

Ben, next time I want a new card, I'm gonna use your links; I like the site and wanna support it.

I'm also here because recently a 'Diamond' commenter 'UncleRonnie' was trying to 'gatekeep' me on another post; he thinks others commenters should not share their thoughts. I disagree. Share.

And, if you disagree with anyone in the comments, you get to decide whether to ignore them or to engage. You do you.

However, let's be clear: it is cowardly to request Ben to 'ban' anyone else, or to demand others 'self-censor' merely because you disagree with them... that will backfire.

Don't be like UncleRonnie. Say what you wanna say, within reason.
