Link: Apply for the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card with a bonus of up to 200K points
The $99 annual fee IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card is a lucrative business card, which offers valuable ongoing perks. If you’ve been considering picking up this card, now would be the ideal time to apply, as we’ve just seen a great new welcome offer introduced.
In this post:
IHG Business Card limited time bonus details
The IHG Premier Business Card is offering a limited time two-part welcome bonus that could earn you up to 200,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points. The bonus is broken down as follows:
- Earn 140,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 within the first three months
- Earn an additional 60,000 bonus points after spending a total of $9,000 within the first six months
I value IHG One Rewards points at 0.5 cents each, so to me, the bonus is worth up to $1,000. This is as good of an offer as we’ve seen on this card.
Note that you’re not eligible for this bonus if you have or have had this exact card. However, you are eligible if you have or have had either of the personal Chase IHG cards, including the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card (review) or IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card (review). Furthermore, Chase’s standard application rules apply.

Why you should get the IHG Business Card
With my hotel strategy, IHG isn’t my primary hotel group, but I still strategically find lots of value with the program, given IHG’s huge global footprint. There’s significant value to having the IHG Premier Business Card, including:
- IHG One Rewards Platinum status just for having the card; IHG elite status can be quite valuable, especially if you actually stay a fair bit, and can earn Milestone Rewards perks
- The ability to earn IHG One Rewards Diamond status when you spend $40,000 on the card in a calendar year; this won’t be worth it for everyone, but does offer some valuable perks
- An anniversary free night certificate every year, valid at a property costing up to 40,000 points; you can top that off with points to redeem at more expensive properties
- Up to $50 in United TravelBank credit annually, in the form of up to a $25 credit every six months
- A fourth night free on award redemptions
- A Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit once every four years

Bottom line
The IHG Premier Business Card has just introduced a huge new welcome offer that can earn you up to 200,000 bonus points. On top of that, the $99 annual fee card is worth holding onto, given that it offers an anniversary free night award, IHG Platinum status, up to $50 in annual United credits, and more.
Anyone plan on picking up the IHG Premier Business Card with this bonus?
Just killed my 5 FNCs from last year’s SUB at the IC Willard DC. Amazing property with outstanding service, steps from the White House. Coupled with my Ambassador Weekend FNC & Diamond Suite Upgrade, we had a perfect/affordable stay.
Been dipping my toes more and more in the run-of-the-mill IHG waters around the US this year. I still prefer Hyatt properties because of their fundamentally sound location diligence. You're not going to find a Hyatt Place in a truly dangerous area (I've tried many in TX, so please correct me if I am being naïve.)

It's a real crap shoot with IHG in places like NC. If you don't know the suburban areas, you could either end up in a crisp and fresh Candlewood near a quiet office park or a Super 8 with a new coat of paint and crime scene techs finishing up their work in the poorly lit parking lot.
Bottom line, I'd stick to using an IHG points haul for aspirational international redemptions only. For my money, Hyatt points are still king.
Super 8 is owned by Wyndham.
