Hyatt Double Elite Nights Promotion At Thompson & Dream Hotels

Hyatt Double Elite Nights Promotion At Thompson & Dream Hotels

11

World of Hyatt is currently offering a potentially lucrative promotion, making it easier to earn elite status.

Double World of Hyatt elite nights with Thompson & Dream

Between March 22 and July 15, 2024, World of Hyatt is offering double elite qualifying nights for stays at Thompson Hotels and Dream Hotels properties:

  • You must register prior to your first eligible stay, though it doesn’t matter if you booked prior to registering
  • All nights eligible for elite night credits qualify for this promotion, including award nights booked with World of Hyatt points
  • It can take up to four weeks after check-out for bonus elite nights to post

While this offer was initially valid only through June 10, it has now been extended by over a month, with the new July 15 expiration date. As a reminder, Thompson and Dream are two of Hyatt’s lifestyle brands. These are both pretty small hotel portfolios, as each brand has fewer than two dozen properties. So it’ll take some effort to stay at these hotels, especially if you’re outside of the United States.

Elite nights earned through this promotion can help you earn elite status, whether you’re aiming for World of Hyatt Globalist, Explorist, or Discoverist status, or just want to hit the next Milestone Rewards tier.

Combine this with other World of Hyatt promotions

When this double elite nights promotion first launched, it was possible to combine it with World of Hyatt’s global promotion, which was valid this spring. However, that promotion ended on April 30, 2024, and at the moment World of Hyatt doesn’t have a promotion everyone is eligible for.

However, you can always combine this with offers like World of Hyatt’s Brand Explorer promotion, World of Hyatt’s new hotel offer, etc.

Bottom line

World of Hyatt is currently offering double elite nights for stays at Thompson Hotels and Dream Hotels properties around the globe. It’s probably not worth going out of your way to stay at one of these properties just to earn double elite nights (since they’re not exactly cheap brands), but if you’ve been considering staying at one of these hotels anyway, this could be a good motivator.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this double elite nights promotion?

I got an email from WoH last night. The offer was double elite nights and didn't say just those two brands. It was for every one, I believe. And was for 90 days after activation, with latest date being July 6. So, all summer if I understand it correctly. Not sure if I am being targeted because they see I recently moved up to Platinum with IHG.

It just says double nights, up to ten. And you have 90 days to use it before it expires.

I got the same email too and now I am confused

It’s a great offer and clearly targeted. Hope Ben sees this to let people know they’re doing this. My wife thinks it’s because our Hyatt stays this year are way down. I’m Explorist year in and year out and quite happy as such. But only 11 nights thus far.

But with upcoming stays added in Berlin and Osaka, the latter at a new Caption (which will bring me another brand and closer to another free night) and an added night on a weekend in Frankfurt, I’ll secure my status by August and might have an outside shot at Globalist for first time.

Any idea when the double credit will hit my WOH account? I already received the 3,000 points credit back for the Bonus Journey promotion. But I stayed 2 nights and only got 2 qualifying nights from the stat added to my account.

Stayed at the Thompson San Antonio and Thompson Austin recently. Both were "vibe-y", especially Austin, but the rooms at both were poorly designed. This was especially puzzling as these seemed to be newer hotels (or maybe not, to cut on construction costs). The Thompson Austin had very dark, poorly lit bathrooms, with no door on the shower or to the toilet. While the Thompson San Antonio was better lit, the shape of the bathrooms was...

The Thompson Austin had very dark, poorly lit bathrooms, with no door on the shower or to the toilet. While the Thompson San Antonio was better lit, the shape of the bathrooms was definitely odd, with random corners and oddly shaped showers (I stayed in two different rooms in SAT - and this was true in both). While the hotels try to market themselves as luxury, I would say they are a bit more style over substance, a la W hotels.

Had New York trip planned for 2 nights next week. Shifted from the Grayson to the Dream Midtown. Definite downgrade but 4 nights are better than 2.

Thompsons DC & Chicago frequently have reasonable paid rates!

Until Hyatt's new pricing algorithm gets used on their entire network instead of just Asia. =/

So you are saying there is a chance...

...that I'd make Globalist this year?
