Cool: Singapore Airlines On Spotify

I’ve written in the past about how much I enjoy airline boarding music. Not only can the right airline boarding music can set a relaxing tone for a flight, but I also love listening to airline boarding music at home while working, as it reminds me of some of the amazing flights I’ve taken over the years.

Anyway, for those who are like me and enjoy airline boarding music at home, Singapore Airlines has an awesome Spotify channel that you might want to check out.

There’s a newly uploadedĀ “Sounds of Singapore Airlines” playlist that has the carrier’s boarding music, landing music, and lounge music, all of which are instrumental and incredibly relaxing.

And if you enjoy any of the music you hear through the inflight entertainment on a Singapore Airlines flight (not that many of us have flown with the airline in the past year), Singapore Airlines has Spotify playlists that match the channels you’ll find onboard, so you can also enjoy them at home.

Personally I still think Singapore Airlines’ soundtrack from its ad campaign several years back is the best, and I wish the airline used this as its boarding music.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if there’s an actual full soundtrack for that song, or if it’s just the short clip used in the ads?

Anyone else enjoying Singapore Airlines’ Spotify channel?

(Tip of the hat to Jay C)

  1. The score was made exclusively for the advert by composer Haydn Walker at Song Zu Sydney. The boarding music I presume was also the studio’s creation (they also did the score of a more recent advert with the same music as the boarding music).

Song Zu has also done the music for Cathay Pacific, and Etihad Airways’ Flying Reimagined ad.

  2. Totally with you on this Ben! Love listening to airline boarding music when working or even onboard a plane. I especially love listening to the EK one while onboard domestic US flights šŸ˜€
(old EY one is my other favorite)

  3. I hope Qatar Airways does this. I’ve been trying to find the song they used in the Qsuite announcement video for so long now.
