Uber Lyft May Leave Austin TX

Uber Lyft May Leave Austin TX

  1. Anonymous Guest

Have you seen the latest on Uber and Lyft may pull out of Austin, TX after losing a vote ? http://www.reuters.com/article/us-texas-ridesharing-idUSKCN0XZ034 While this is specific to Austin, it does raise some questions about special treatment of Uber/Lyft in other cities and how the company will continue to operate as the ride-sharing service begins to mature in the marketplace. As we know, taxis are among the most regulated (although some think not enough at least from the driver standpoint) businesses and it would make sense that Uber and Lyft would be treated to a similar level of scrutiny.
