Trying to book paid for Miles and More ticket

Trying to book paid for Miles and More ticket

  1. lloydbuck New Member

    Hi,

I haven’t posted here before, despite being a long time reader. I’m hoping someone may be able to help.

I’m wanting to book a ticket from Manchester (UK) to Hong Kong in paid for premium economy class, and the cheapest routing is with Austrian via Vienna. However with the massive reduction in earning with Miles and More now they have gone revenue based, I’d rather book through a partner airline or an online travel agency, who will issue tickets under the old system. Does anyone know of an online travel agent who can do this? Additionally I can’t find a partner airline who will let me book Austrian/Lufthansa tickets in premium economy.

Previously, this trip would earn me around 13,500 miles in premium economy, now it will earn me just over 3000 miles. As there are 2 of us travelling, this is particularly gutting. To earn 13,500 miles I would need to spend £3000; I could spend less than this and fly first class with a different airline, and earn 34,000 miles for it!

    Any ideas?
