New to One World need advice

Hello all, need some guidance on the best OW program to use / join to maximize an upcoming return trip on JAL in Biz, booked on AA, in “I”. Route is JFK – NRT – TPE – NRT – JFK. I’ve got no status at any OW carrier but do have an option to fly AA / BA frequently.

Welcome Canuck, I am assuming you are based in Connecticut. Given that your ticket is on AA, I would recommend joining AAdvantage. IF the bulk of your travel is going to be transatlantic, then perhaps BA. But to maximize both redeemable miles and earned-qualifying miles for this trip, I’d go with AA.
