In looking at Rakuten.com, going.com is offering 15x points. In looking at the fine(ish) print, it says the points will be awarded once one is charged for a paid subscription.
So...my question is, has anyone had any experience with going.com and/or going.com in conjunction with Rakuten? If I'm purchasing a $15K ticket, it would be nice to get 15x Amex points through going.com than 5x points with Amex.
@TravelinWilly Haven't used Scotts or Going. Regardless, I'd double-check how Going works—it’s a flight deal alert subscription service, not an OTA where you can book a $15,000 ticket. Plus, looking at Rakuten's terms, like you already suggested, that 15x only applies to signing up for a paid membership plan, not booking actual airfare. Even if it worked, I'd be wary of dropping $15K on something that seems 'too good to be true.' Stick to your standard platforms for 5x–10x MR/UR/TY and save yourself the headache. Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered!
Yeah, I just re-read the T&C, and see this:
Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on sign-up and free trials. Cash Back is only available for new users and on the first payment of a subscription plan.
Glad I didn't get too excited, thanks for the response, 1990_.
