Anonymous GuestI am staying at a Marriott hotel in September. Would it make more sense to pay for the hotel with my SPG card now or after the August unification?

For stays at SPG/Marriott properties, it doesnt matter. Currently, regardless of your elite status, you earn 2x Starpoints when paying for an SPG/Marriott hotel with the Amex SPG. After Aug 1, you’ll earn 6x Marriott points. Given that 1 Starpoint is converting to 3 Marriott points, it doesnt matter when you pay.
