Hyatt DSU on P+C booking

Hyatt DSU on P+C booking

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hey Ben one question,

wanted to use an DSU for an points and cash booking on a one night stay in Doha, so called Hyatt in Germany and they told me that DSUs cannot be used on P+C bookings and instead offered me a upgrade for more points and cash. He even mentioned that the GP Guy there told him this piece of information. But they are wrong, since he told me that the suite is available right?. So should I try them again tomorrow, write them a mail or call in the US?

    Thanks for your help.

Hi Florian, you should call the Gold Passport desk directly and have them process it. We’ve run into this issue before, but if a base suite is available you should be able to apply a DSU on a P+C booking.

@Tiffany on a semi related note, how do you determine if a “base” room or suite is available at the property? A lot of them call their rooms by different names. Just scan the reservation options for a few days and look for the consistently lowest priced rooms? I have a new GP membership and just trying to figure stuff out.

It’s generally the first room type and then first suite type listed under “rooms.”Or you can ask Gold Passport if it’s unclear 🙂
