FRA-LAX going back to A380?

I’m doing a search now, and in the fall schedule, it looks like the daily LH A340 on the FRA-LAX switches back to the A380 on October 28th. Did LH only intend on having the A340 on the route during the high season? I thought the switch to the A340 was a permanent year round, but I don’t see any news about it.
Do you know anything about this?
